Mission Possible puts out urgent call for help

The call for help is ringing out of High River, once again.

Mission Possible can’t seem to keep up with requests for flood clean-up assistance.

The volunteer movement, which began after Southern Alberta’s devastating June flooding, is in search of 200 helpers for a variety of jobs on Saturday.

The organization’s Monique Pellerin, who is also a volunteer, says volunteers could be helping with everything from the golf course to yard clean-up, and from assisting with the Salvation Army to salvage and recyclable sorting.

She says individual homeowners are still asking for help as well estimating it takes four to six volunteers to help with one home in the community.

Anyone willing to donate their time is encouraged to stop by the welcome centre in High River.

You’ll find it in the big white tent at the rodeo grounds.
