Campfire ban in BC’s Okanagan area

You won’t be able start a fire to roast wieners or make s’mores if you plan on camping in B.C.’s Okanagan this upcoming long weekend.

A campfire ban has been issued in the Kamloops Fire Centre which covers popular destinations like Kelowna, Kamloops and Osoyoos.

If you’re caught stoking a campfire, you’ll be slapped with a $345 ticket!

There is some good news, you can still fire up a camp stove for cooking.
