Communities worry about flood repair priority list

Some of Alberta’s municipalities are wondering where they will fall on a priority list for flood repair.
The Alberta government has committed to a plan to restore 205 pieces of public infrastructure damaged by the disaster in June.
Mandie Crawford, the public affairs officer for the M.D. of Bighorn, tells The Calgary Herald, the municipality suffered over $5-million in damage, and their annual budget is only $3.2 million.
Crawford says if the government doesn’t cover repairs, it could bankrupt them.
Infrastructure Minister Wayne Drysdale assures they will work with all municipalities to try and find the money to recover.
