Zoogala fundraiser cancelled due to flood damage

The Calgary Zoo has a massive repair bill after flooding in June, but will still have to cancel one of its major fundraisers.
A zoo spokesperson said, because of extensive damage to the island, Zoogala will not be going ahead.
Ticket refunds are available, although patrons are also given the option to donate the ticket proceeds to the rebuilding fund.
Meanwhile, two of the animals who were most traumatized by the high water appear to be recovering.
A couple of giraffes were found shivering and very stressed-out in their enclosures during the flood.
According to the Calgary Herald, a zoo keeper said the giraffes are now settling back into their newly repaired enclosure and are walking around and eating just fine.
