Joey’s Seafood Restaurants have brought eating champ Joey Chestnut to town to try and set a fish taco eating record.
The eating feat will be staged as part of the half-time show during Friday night’s CFL game between the Calgary Stampeders and the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Chestnut who was born in California already holds 6 competitive eating world records , including the Nathan’s hot dog contest on Coney Island, where he put away 69 hot dogs in 10 minutes.
The 29 year old tells 660News he’s excited to be here and while competitive eating is hard on the body, his doctor is on-side and it’s better than entering a boxing ring and being hit in the head.
As for his competition four Stampeder and four Roughrider football fans will put on their bibs and try to upset the champ, the goal to put away as many fish taco’s as possible in a five minute period.
