Calgary man facing manslaughter charges after pedestrian hit and killed

Calgary police have laid charges in the death of a woman hit by a car on Macleod Trail.
It happened just before 2 p.m. Monday afternoon in the 4200 block of Macleod Trail SW.
The driver is now charged with manslaughter after police say it appears the victim was in the car with the driver before she was hit.
Investigators believe the woman got out of the car and was killed when a Chevy Camaro mounted the curb moments later.
The 33 year-old victim was pinned by the vehicle and died at the scene.
30-year-old Kristoffer Del Campo of Calgary is charged with manslaughter.
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
