Preparations underway for Alberta Flood Aid

The countdown to Alberta Flood Aid has begun, as organizers hope for a sold-out show.
Volunteers have laid down the floor for Thursday’s big concert and will be raising the stage Wednesday morning.
Loverboy, Jann Arden and headliners Nickelback are just some of the artists donating their time to help raise funds for the Calgary Foundation’s Flood Rebuilding Fund.
Event Chairman Peter Jurisic tells The Calgary Herald, he’s been amazed at the response from the community; companies have been banging at his door wanting to help with the show.
Preparations will be hectic this week, but Jurisic is excited about the once-in-a-lifetime event.
About 29,000 tickets have already been scooped up, but there are still 1,000 tickets available.
Thursday afternoon will bring its own entertainment before the show in the east parking lot of McMahon Stadium, where people can check out local talent and cuisine.
