The key witness in a six-year-old murder case who fled the country is back in Canada, and in police custody.
Salim Mohamad Kaddoura is charged with assault and accessory to murder in the February 2007 killing of Adam Cavanagh.
The Calgary Sun reports Cavanagh was shot through the basement window of his parents’ Calgary home while he was partying with friends.
Mark Morales was convicted of killing the 18-year-old and handed life in prison.
Kaddoura fled to Lebanon after Morales was arrested, moving to Venezuela where he was safe from Canadian extradition.
