Mayor, Alderman duke it on Twitter over southeast LRT

The funding of a Southeast LRT line sparked a heated Twitter debate between the Mayor and a city council member over the weekend.
It started when Alderman Shane Keating estimated the cost of the southeast LRT would be around $1.5-billion, while the mayor pegged the cost at $3-billion.
According to The Calgary Sun, when Mayor Naheed Nenshi questioned where the money would come from, Keating argued for a P3 method, which would mean a private company would partner with the City to build the line.
A city committee voted last month to scrap a priority list that placed the southeast transit way at the bottom.
