HAWCS kept busy overnight

It was a busy night for the HAWCS helicopter; around 1:30 Wednesday morning, its crew assisted police in tracking down a man who’d broken into the Ted Harrison elementary school in Taradale.

The culprit got in through a broken window, and took off with some computers.

Police arrested the man, and recovered the stolen property.

An hour later, a stolen truck was spotted on Deerfoot near Beddington.

Police say its driver parked by another stolen truck and men were seen transferring stolen property between the vehicles.

One man was arrested at the scene, and another two were taken into custody after being tracked through the northeast by HAWCS.

Charges are pending against all the suspects.
