Rare white bear won’t be euthanized

A rare white bear cub is getting a second chance after wandering back into a town in southeastern B.C.
Conservation officers say the cub, who was feasting on garbage in Elkford, will likely be relocated or placed in a sanctuary.
The bear, along with her sibling, were moved back in 2011 after they were spotted near the community.
Officials say the bear is now getting herself into trouble again.
While ordinarily they may have had to euthanize the animal, because of its unique coat and the community’s interest, they are taking extra steps to find her a home.
