Globalfest wraps up

Sunday marked the final night of Globalfest being held at Elliston Park in the city’s south east.
The annual fireworks festival has been taking place at the park over the past week.
The theme for Sunday night is Canadian.
Sunday’s Canadian finale is the fifth night of the Globalfest event as the fireworks show is set to music.
22,000 people were anticipated to attend the finale.
Patrick Brault is a fireworks specialist and has been in the business for the past 25 years taking part in everything from the FIFA World Cup to the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.
Chris Erickson, with Globalfest says Brault puts on an amazing fireworks program.
“He’s got a great team… that’s been working very hard these past few days helping other countries set up as well.” Erickson said. “Quite an experienced guy who always puts on a good show.”
