Science behind Alberta floods featured on Daily Planet

The Alberta floods will be looked at in depth on Discovery Channel starting this week.

It will be featured as a part of Daily Planet’s ‘Dissecting Disaster’ week.

The series kicks-off Daily Planet’s 19th season and will focus on disasters from around the globe, both natural and man-made.

Alberta’s flooding will get things off and running Monday with a look at the science behind recovery efforts in High River according to The Calgary Herald.

Another segment, set to air September 3rd, will feature hydrologist John Pomeroy who will offer up his advice on how to help avert flooding disasters in the future.
