Associated cab drivers unhappy with working conditions

Associated Cab drivers walked off the job Monday, protesting what they say are unacceptable working conditions that the company won’t remedy.
The president of Associated says he asked management to upgrade the working conditions and was told they would not — and then he says he was fired.
No one in the dispute was talking Monday morning, but the Calgary Airport Authority says they’re hoping to foster some dialogue between both parties.
Cab drivers are describing the conditions at the airport taxi bullpen as “Third World.”
Drivers say they are being forced to drink water from a hose and share two Porta Potties with over a thousand employees.
Jody Moseley with the Calgary Airport Authority says the building at the airport is under renovation and says it’s always been the cabs responsibility.
Moseley says the Authority stepped in last week, when the dispute wasn’t going anywhere and have asked that Checker Cab help fill the void.
So far, Moseley says passengers haven’t experienced much delay.
Associated Cab still has three years left of their contract with the Airport.
