Book kiosks planned for N.W. rec centre

A novel new program could make it easier for readers in Rocky Ridge.

The city is looking into putting book vending kiosk machines at the Rocky Ridge Recreation Centre.

The proposed service would lend and hold books, as well as allow people to pick-up and return items.

Alderman Gael Macleod tells The Calgary Sun it might be a good solution for the area where they can’t cost-justify putting in full library.

If the plan moves forward, the machines would be installed sometime in 2016.
