Six people are in hospital this morning after a crash on Highway 63 near Boyle.

According to RCMP, at around 7:30 p.m. Monday a southbound semi tractor trailer lost control and crossed into oncoming traffic, hitting two northbound cars.

The driver of the first car suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The second car, carrying four people, burst into flames.

All of the occupants of the vehicle had to be rescued.

Mounties continue to investigate, and say alcohol is not considered a factor in the crash.
