Small business confidence up in August

Small business confidence continued its upswing in August.
The Canadian Federation of Independent Business says the business barometer index rose 1.7 points to 65.9 this month, its highest since February.
Entrepreneurs in Alberta are the third most optimistic in Canada, beat out only by Saskatchewan and Newfoundland & Labrador.
Officials say August has been a good month for agriculture, manufacturing, retail and hospitality services.
Weak outlooks still remain for construction and transportation in the country.
