Teens mourned after tragic crash

Two Calgary teens are being mourned after a deadly car crash early Wednesday.

Josh Wozny and his friend Spencer Hanson were at Elbow Drive and 30th Avenue S.W. when their car slammed into a light pole.

The 18-year-olds had been celebrating their high school graduation that night at a house party; guests say the two had taken a cab, but used it to go pick up their car rather than going straight home.

Police suspect both speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.

A note at the scene, where a memorial has formed, reads: “While they are gone now, the memories they left behind will be forever cherished…the hole they left behind will never be filled.”
