A fire has gutted a house in the northeast community of Beddington.
A neighbour spotted the flames coming from the home along Bedridge road and called 9-1-1.
He’s being credited for saving some pets…
“A neighbour did go into the house to get two dogs out which probably saved the dogs lives. There was nobody home at the time and fire investigators are one scene investigating the origin and cause,” says Henke.
The Fire Department’s Carol Henke says they never want members of the public to enter a burning building, but she doesn’t know how bad the fire was when the man went in to rescue the dogs.
Three quarters of the roof has collapse and fire damage to the home is significant.
