More delays for Keystone XL

The U.S. State Department has announced it needs more time to review and publish comments from it’s ecological analysis into the Keystone XL pipeline project.
That will be followed by a 90 day review of whether the pipeline is in the U.S. national interest, which will then be followed by 15 days of appeal.
John Kerekes with the American Petroleum Institute tells 660News that means the earliest a decision on the seven billion dollar project will be made is 2014.
Kerekes says five years ago this month, TransCanada Corporation first submitted the proposal to boost oilsands shipments to the Gulf Coast.
He says it’s unbelievable it’s taking longer to approve the project that it will take to built it.
The API promises to keep the pressure on U.S. lawmakers to green light the project as soon as possible.
