Airdrie city council looking to create change

Party politics are not usually found at the municipal level, but four candidates for council in Airdrie are set to change that.
Team Airdrie United wants to see 24-hour healthcare, a responsible growth plan, and a commitment to putting Airdrie first when it comes to decision making.
Candidate Kevin Hughes says, he started talking about 24 hour healthcare during the last election:
“Well, we’re three years later and we still don’t have 24-hour healthcare,” says Hughes. “What we’re saying is, talk is cheap and if we get elected, we’ll put the full resource of the city council, political capital, and financial capital where needed to make sure, that Airdrie citizens have that basic necessity that I think we need.”
There are seven seats on Airdrie’s council.
