The Calgary MEOW Foundation is holding its annual Adopt-a-thon and Family Fun Day Saturday.
Woodcreek Community Hall in the southwest is hosting it.
Executive Director Debbie Nelson says all the cats and kittens up for adoption are house-trained.
“It covers the whole gamut from the old couch potato kitties, to the very little, little ones waiting for their first chance at a home. Some of them are about three, four, five months old,” explains Nelson.
There are also activities for the kids including face painting and colouring sheets with information on responsible pet ownership.
The adopt-a-thon runs until 4 p.m. Saturday.
