Albertans unimpressed by AHS queue-jumping inquiry

When it comes to bang for your buck, the recent queue jumping inquiry in Alberta’s medical system didn’t deliver according to a new poll, which found only 11 percent of the respondents felt we got our money’s worth.

76 per cent say it wasn’t worth the $7 million the province spent on the inquiry.

Mimicking those numbers:  results regarding whether the inquiry got to the crux of the matter, which was an investigation into whether people with money or political connections were getting preferential treatment.  Only 24 per cent believe the inquiry did answer those questions;  54 per cent feel the inquiry didn’t get to the bottom of the issue.

The poll was conducted by Leger for The Calgary Herald.  It has a margin of error plus or minus 2.8 per cent, 19 times out of 20.
