A body has been found in the water by some passer-bys, who promptly called 911 around 4:30 p.m. this afternoon.

EMS tells 660News the body is a male.

Police Duty Inspector Guy Baker says the body has been pulled from the water.

“Medical examiner has been contacted along with members of our Homicide unit and the Calgary Police Service and we will be investigating the situation,” says Baker.

Baker says it is standard procedure for the homicide unit to attend all deaths, no matter the circumstances.
