Despite a municipal election nearing, it’s provincial politics taking the spotlight Saturday in Calgary.
The Alberta Liberals are holding a policy convention downtown.
Party leader Raj Sherman says taxation is an issue he wants to address.
“We’ve got to get to a progressive tax,” says Sherman. “Let’s cut taxes on the working families and the top one per-cent have got to pay their fair share.” Post-secondary cuts, full day kindergarten, and seniors’ care are among the other topics Sherman wants to address.
The policy convention goes from 10a.m. to 5p.m. at the Ramada Inn on 8th Avenue SW.
