Some tense moments in an Applewood apartment complex.
Around 9am, police were called to the 6900 block of 16th Avenue SE after a witness thought he saw a man leave a vehicle and walk into the complex with a firearm.
Duty Inspector Darrell Hesse says a woman was also in the vehicle, and when officers arrived, they took her into custody.
Hesse tells 660News that officers took the complaint seriously and deployed a number of police cruisers as well as the tactical team and K9 Unit.
“We were able to contain the entire apartment complex. We believe that we had narrowed down a specific residence in which the male had occupied. We made contact with that male and took him into custody without incident,” he says.
The investigation is ongoing, and it’s not known if charges will be laid.
