Dangerous offender status admissible in Paxton trial

A dangerous offender label for a convicted torturer will be allowed as evidence, a judge ruled Tuesday.

Reports from two doctors and a social worker are admissible in Dustin Paxton’s sexual assault sentencing.

Paxton’s defence lawyers had argued the assessment violated his charter rights.

Paxton was found guilty last year of aggravated assault and sexual assault in several attacks on his former roommate.
