Stoney Trail ramp repairs cause delays

Drivers in the south-end of the city should be prepared for delays.

Access to the new westbound Stoney Trail to southbound Deerfoot Trail ramp is closed and will probably stay that way until at least Thursday.

It’s so that a joint, which connects the bridge deck to the ramp, can be repaired.

A contractor noticed the problem after the connector had already been opened to traffic.

Alberta Transportation says flag persons will be at the intersection 24 hours a day to help with traffic control.

The southeast Stoney Trail is a $769-million project and is set to fully open this fall.
