It’s become a Thanksgiving tradition for many families in Calgary in recent years.
The Original Turducken is on sale at Calgary Co-op stores and selected other outlets.
Director of Sales Mike Moser says they expect to sell 10,000 across Canada this season.
Moser tells 660News, the turkey-stuffed with a duck-stuffed with a chicken and filled with sausage stuffing, is easier to cook than the traditional holiday bird.
“You don’t have to baste it. You just put it in the oven. It’s pre-spiced, pre-stuffed. It’s all taken care of. You just have to carve it at the end, and unlike a traditional turkey, where there is some knife skills required, if you can cut something down the middle and then section it off, you can carve up the Turducken.
They also now make a smaller, totally boneless roast that feeds 8 to 10 people, and this year launched Gourmet Turducken Burgers.
