You have a chance to get free legal information on Wednesday when the Calgary Public Library hosts their annual Law Connect event.
The library’s Jerry Fawcett tells 660News, it’s difficult to know where to start when it comes to getting answers for legal questions.
He says, “A lawyer, you know, costs alot of money and initially, people often are just frustrated. They have a problem, it seems insurmountable to them and they’re not sure where to get started or where to go, so what we try to do along with our partner organizations, is to help get them started.”
People will also be able to meet with a volunteer lawyer for a half an hour as well as get a chance to ask law-related questions with an Alberta provincial courts judge.
Law Connect takes place at the Central Library at 616 Macleod Trail, S.E. starting at 9:30 a.m.
