It’s the seventh year for a food drive helping to feed veterans and seniors in the city.
The Calgary Sun reports, the Canadian Legacy Project’s 7th annual drive kicked off Monday.
President Dave Howard tells the paper, the majority of older veterans don’t go to the traditional food bank because they believe women and children need the services more.
Calgarians can drop off food items or cash donations at Crown Surplus in Inglewood on 11th Street Southeast starting November 1st.
The food drive raised more than $60,000 last year and filled two warehouses with food.
