Help for caregivers

Many Calgarians are part of the ”sandwich” generation: raising children, coping with careers and taking care of aging parents and they’re not alone.
The number of family caregivers is growing and it’s estimated one in four Canadians is looking after a family member.
That’s why Canada Cares, a national not-for-profit program for caregivers has launched a support hotline and web tool to help people cope and find needed resources.
Without support, many caregivers make mistakes and often suffer personal burnout.
Calgarians can call the Canada Cares Caregiver Support toll-free hotline at 1-855-619-5021 or log onto www.canadacares.org.
