Winter weather is on it’s way for the city and the rest of Southern Alberta thanks to a snowfall warning.
660’S Meteorologist David Spence says Calgary can expect 10 to 15 centimetres of snow during the day Sunday.
“High pressure up north is going to cause an up slope effect which means moisture is pushed against the Foothills, the air is forced to rise and we get snow. The heaviest amounts of snow will be in the Foothills, especially Southwest of Calgary with some areas getting perhaps 20 centimetres or even more. 10 to 20 centimetres can be expected in the foothills Northwest of Calgary.”
Spence says it should all be done by the end of the day and Monday will see some dryer weather but will remain cold.
