Three Alberta universities go online

As more and more goes online, Alberta post-secondary schools are trying to keep up.

The Universities of Alberta, Lethbridge and Calgary, are joining an online consortium called eCampus Alberta.

Executive Director of the program Tricia Donovan tells 660News on Tuesday, this movement is aimed to get everyone involved.

She says, “We currently offer over seventy programs fully online and support over 800 courses from across our member institutions and the age range is quite a broad spectrum; we have students who range in age from 15 years of age to 76.”

With the addition of these universities, nineteen post-secondary institutions are involved across the province.
