Mount Royal University is finally getting the academic library they need.
The province is handing over almost $86-million to build the new facility, and Calgary’s Riddell family has also donated an unknown amount of cash to move the project forward.
The School had originally planned for the library to be built before they transitioned from a college to a university, but they didn’t have the funds.
The library will be named the Riddell Library and Learning Centre.
