If money can be found, the province promises to address a couple of the major traffic bottlenecks on Deerfoot Trail.
Transportation Minister Ric McIver tells 660News, he would love to improve the flow at the interchanges of Deerfoot and Glenmore and Deerfoot and Southland, however right now it’s not in their 3 year plan.
McIver says he will make a pitch to find $15-million in the 2014 budget for the work, but can’t make any promises.
Nancy Beasley Hosker with Alberta Transportation says, feedback from public presentations on the projects so far has been mostly positive, even from dog owners, because the plans include a reconfiguration of the Sue Higgins Dog Park.
If money is found and the work is green lighted, it could take anywhere from six months to two years to complete.
