Airdrie restaurant fire being investigated as arson

A fire at a restaurant on Edmonton Trail South in Airdrie is now being investigated by the arson unit.
It broke out around 3:30 a.m. Saturday at the Highway 2 Bar and Grill.
Investigators have since determined the blaze started at multiple locations in the building, and damage is estimated at $200,000.
The eatery was closed at the time and there were no injuries.
The Mounties in Airdrie are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying any suspects.
