2013 on pace to be a hot one

2013 is shaping up to be one of the top ten warmest years in recorded history.
According to the World Meteorological Organization, this year is tied with 2003 as the seventh warmest period since 1850.
The global sea level reached a new record high because of melting ice caps and glaciers.
The WMO says the high temperatures are also impacting the world’s water cycle, increasing the frequency of droughts, floods, and extreme precipitation.
