It’s Calgary’s biggest weekend for football this year and crews at McMahon Stadium are faced with their toughest challenge yet.
More than a dozen people are focused on snow control for Saturday’s U of C Dinos game.
Assistant stadium manager, Don Phelps, says they’ll be stepping it up for the CFL West Final, featuring the Stampeders and the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
“When this game is over, I’ve got 60 people ready to shovel stairs,” says Phelps. “Hopefully the snow will quit.”
He adds the aisles and stairs at McMahon Stadium will be cleared for Sunday’s CFL West Final, but some seats may have snow underneath, so he’s advising Stampeders fans to wear boots and dress warm.
