The City of Calgary has put out a call for flood mitigation experts to help with efforts ahead of next year’s flood season.
The request is for several experts willing to give their time to provide strategic input, technical support and recommendations to the Expert River Flood Mitigation Panel.
Six specific areas of focus include climate change, watershed management and infrastructure resiliency.
Interested parties will need to give the City their credentials by the end of November.
Those chosen will work with the expert panel until June – one year after flood-waters flowed through southern Alberta.
