Popular entrepreneur Brett Wilson chats with SAIT students

SAIT played host on Tuesday to a well-known dragon from the Dragon’s Den and an entrepreneur who calls Calgary home.
Brett Wilson, the co-founder of FirstEnergy Capital spoke with students, sharing some of his experiences.
Wilson tells 660News, he also spoke about growing up in Saskatchewan and how he got to the Dragon’s Den from there, the mistakes he made and successes, including his time at First Energy.
He says, “certainly building FirstEnergy into one of the most successful investment banking stories ever in Canadian history. I’m no longer there, but my seventeen years with them as a founder, and then ultimately chairman, was a pretty cool run.”
He adds, the talk revolved around his “three tools of empowerment”: the study of marketing, entrepreneurship and philanthropy, and what students can learn and do with those tools as a part of their lives.
