The Manning Foundation is set to release it’s latest salvo against the city Thursday.
The foundation’s newest report shines a light on municipal spending.
While spending at the provincial level grew at 18 per cent between 2006 and 2011, municipal spending grew at a whopping 55 per cent.
The report by former chamber economist Ben Brunnen will show how that spending increase has saddled Calgarians with higher taxes and will also show ways the city can get its spending back under control.
