If you haven’t chosen a charity to help out yet this Christmas, why not think about High River?
Efforts continue to get life back to normal, almost six months after the worst floods in Alberta’s history, but much work needs to be done.
It’s unlikely many people will get back to their homes by Christmas, and will be forced to stay in temporary set ups like the Saddlebrook community, making an already stressful time of year, more so.
Mission Possible has been working in the community since the flood hit, bringing together many different organizations to target aid.
Spokesperson John Mar tells 660News, the need is still dire, and if people are looking to help, you can donate through their group.
“We are an organization that is able to take material donation, as well as financial donation, and ensure that those donations get into the hands of people that really need it,” he said.
