Kraft will be giving new life to a historic skating rink in downtown Montreal Wednesday.
The Victoria Skating Rink was recognized in 2002 as the birthplace of organized hockey, but has been a parking lot for decades.
A free day of skating will happen to promote the return of Kraft Hockeyville, and stress the importance of funding local rinks in Canada.
A recent survey by Kraft Canada found 91 per cent of hockey parents say their local rink is the social hub of their community.
Canada’s communities can nominate their local arenas this year for a chunk of $1-million in prizes, starting January 1.
