Police investigate late night stabbing

A man is in hospital in critical condition after being stabbed overnight.
Acting Duty Inspector Jay Judin says they only found out about the stabbing when the man showed up at hospital.
“The victim that had been transported to the Sheldon Chumir in a cab that was suffering from an apparent stab wound that — from the information we have at this time — was from a screwdriver,” says Judin.
The man was transferred to Foothills Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
Detectives are still trying to determine where the attack happened and will interview the victim when his condition stabilizes.
