Time is quickly running out if you still have to find that one gift for the difficult person on your list.
There are 12 shopping days left until Christmas and Avenue Magazine is out with its Annual Gift Guide to help make the decision a little easier.
They’ve divided their tips into three separate categories; kids, Mom and Dad and then grandparents.
Associate Editor Ricky Zayshley says the latter two groups, the adults tend to be more difficult.
His advice for those seniors a go? Try a fun gadget for the kitchen or even a Kobo E-Reader.
“Maybe grandparents might not even know they like to read their books on a Kobo, they might be traveling, they might be jet set or just relaxing a lot,” he says. “But you can store a lot of books on those things and just occupy your time.”
If anyone has a Dad to still shop for, Zayshley suggests something a little playful like a camera.
“We also looked at from Livingstone and Cavell, there’s a steam engine you can buy… it looks great on his desk or in his office, but maybe he might want to tinker around a bit too,” he said.
The home decor expert tells 660News you’ll want to find something to pamper Mom this season.
“We took her to the spa, Mom got a day to herself, we also got her some beautiful bubble bathes” he said. “And then we also went into some really high-end gadget gifts like the Clarisonic Opal which is a machine that pounds your eye cream into your eye area with thousands of micro-movements a minute.”
If that’s still not enough, Zayshley says you can never go wrong with food ideas for anyone on your list.
“For example, in our stocking stuffers we suggest giving “Bitter Sling”, it’s a set of bitters that you can get from Silk Road Spice Merchants and that’s really interesting bitters or bitter extracts that you can add to your holiday drinks.”
When asked about gift cards, he didn’t seem to be impressed and suggests try a gift receipt instead.
“I do love giving something physical, when you give your gift, tell them I hope you like this but there’s a gift receipt in there in case it’s something you have two or three of.”
