The drive continues to find volunteers for a research project hoping to find prevention measures for cancer.
The Tomorrow Project is an Alberta Health Services initiative where they are intending to track 50,000 volunteers and their lifestyles over their lifetime.
Then, as some develop cancer, they can look back and see what may have contributed to the disease.
Lead Researcher Heather Whelan says they’re sitting at 34,000 test subjects so far.
“We started in Alberta in the year 2000, so this is something that’s been going on for almost 14 years in the Province of Alberta,” explains Whelan.
To get involved, you have to be 35 to 65 years of age and never been diagnosed with cancer.
