Three sent to hospital after NE crash

Speed and alcohol appear to be factors in a serious crash that closed down Metis Trail.

Police say two cars and a half-ton truck collided head on between 80th Avenue and Country Hills Boulevard just after 6 p.m. Wednesday where the divided four lanes become two undivided lanes.

One person was sent to hospital in life threatening condition; two others suffered minor injuries, including a woman who is eight months pregnant.
