Suncor employee found deceased at Oilsands site

Tragedy at a Suncor energy oil sands site on Sunday.
The company has confirmed an employee has died.
In a release from Fort McMurray, company executive Vice-President Mark Little says “we extend our sincere condolences to the family, friends and co-workers. They are certainly in our thoughts and prayers during this extremely difficult time.”
Earlier on Sunday, an employee could not be found on the site and as per emergency response protocol, RCMP and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety were notified.
The unnamed employee was found a few hours later and was declared dead on scene.
No other workers were involved.
Suncor is working with the appropriate authorities and will complete a full investigation into the cause of the incident.
