Calgary Police looking for new officers

Calgary Police are on a mission to find the right people.

They’re looking to hire 140 new officers by the end of 2014.

“It has to do with attrition rates and looming retirement from our baby boomer generation,” said Acting Staff Sgt. Jennifer Lessard.

“That is just a constant need and it’s been fairly consistent over the last few years, and it’s not really looking like it’s going to be letting up.”

CPS hired 105 new officers in 2013.
